- The study objectives were as follows :' - to indentify and evaluate models that are available for use within the European Commission's fourth framework programme and make recommendations for the use of models identified ;
2 - to identify and assess systems architectures suitable as the basis of a pan - european" target architecture and to identify where further research needs to achieve the realization of a common" target architecture.
